Be A Light!

For it is light that makes everything visible.

You know those times when you or someone you love just seems so lost. You look back on it and you think what was I or they thinking? And then you ask yourself, “what changed?”

Well you might not have the answer but i sure do. You were led to the light. We all know the light I’m talking about. Let’s say you dressed terrible and then a good friend introduced you to fashion. That is the light. Or you have been getting into trouble with the law, and your parent or brother turned you toward getting involved in church or school more. That is the light!!!

You do not know what you are missing out on when you are in the dark. The light makes everything visible and makes you realize your mistakes. Much like a good friend saves us from ourselves, God saves us.

“Your word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” Psalm 119:105

This verse is saying that whenever we get lost in the world and stray from God that we can always come back to him and when we do, his word will guide us back into his arms.

You might of heard the song, “This little light of mine, I’m going to let it shine.” Well that is what I am encouraging YOU to do!!! Spread God’s love to your friends, your family, your neighbors, and random people at random places. “Won’t let Satan ‘psh’ it out, I’m going let it shine! Hide it under a bushel, NO! I’m going to let it shine!” So please, if you see someone on the wrong path, just show them God’s love and turn them towards Him. Because He is the only one who can truly change their lives for the better.

Be a light towards others, and NEVER hide your light under a bushel. NO! good luck ;)

I’m No Artist, But I Like to Pretend.

As the title says, I’m no artist but i like to pretend. These were made out of plaster of paris and i had to like form the image, and it was actually more difficult than it looks, As you can see in the second picture it has a bunch of texture! I made two, one is orange and one is pink, the orange one, fell off. So i held it up and the petals kinda just fell off the page so thats why it looks a little distorted haha because i had to glue it back together. So i just think this is really cool, oh but it was time consuming ha.

I dont really know, i just think these are the cutest things ever. AND 100% recycled, now is that a good idea or what? My favorite one is the last one, the brown one, i think its the most elegant one because it doesn’t look actually recycled. COOL RIGHT? Post which one is YOUR favorite.

Man, i wish i had a love story. I am to young, i can only imagine when i meet my true love. I can only imagine the way that we’ll look at each other when we meet, or how i’ll feel when i realize I’m in love. I dream of my wedding, light pink roses, and a beautiful dress. Please, what is the story of when you met your true love?

my hero is my grandma, she is battling breast cancer, and we just found out that it spread to her hip bone. She never complains, and i cant even imagine how she can talk about it without breaking down into tears. In this battle, she has never strayed from God, infact she joined a Bible Study. She is without a doubt my hero. Who is yours?

Things i love..

1. Listening. When was the last time that you stopped and listened to the beautiful sounds of nature. It’s just beautiful and inspiring. It gives me hope and it makes my heart flutter. Just listen, next time you have the opportunity, and you will be glad you did… i guarantee it .

2. Songs. My favorite music now, includes artists like Sarah Barailles, Norah Jones, Yael Naim, and Regina Spektor. I grew up listening to country, new country that is: Keith Urban, Toby Keith, Martina McBride… etc. Then when i got into highschool I started listening to Chris Brown, and i don’t even know anymore, but those songs had just a negative effect on my mood, so i changed what i listened to and my attitude has improved. But I do like all sorts of music and occasionally i still do listen to rap and things like that.

3. Nail Polish, Yup i am a girly girl, I’d admit that. My favorite colors, because i know your interested are: Pink, purple, and orange. Ya, i know what your thinking, ORANGE??? That color is awful, but no, its really cool :)

4. God obviously, which should be at the top of my list. Just thinking about his sacrifice, and the pain he went through, it breaks my heart, and how can we walk by people everyday and fully understand what is at the receiving end of their life when they don’t know God yet never do anything about it? It makes me sad, I’m not the one to go out and street witness, I am a fairly shy person, but i can still witness to my friends and my family. And i will.

5. Books. Call me a geek, go ahead, and see what happens… just kidding.

6. Listening to Foreign languages.. its cool. Just saying..

7. My friends, and the laughter that we share, and the great memories.

8. Laughter, on a side note, its a beautiful thing. Have you ever realized the bazillion different types of laughter? The laughing that makes you laugh even harder? Each laugh is unique like a person’s heart, and its encouraging and awe inspiring because now your thinking how great of a God that we have to intricately create all of these joyous noises, sights, and feelings.

9. Butterflies, and now im not talking about the insects, although they are pretty cool to. I mean butterflies, like you are going down a huge roller coaster and you feel the butterflies flying around in your tummy. Or when your with the person you love and they give you butterflies just by speaking your name. What a great feeling right?

10. Colors. Really colors???? thats what you are all probably thinking. But i mean COLORS!!!!! Black and white is no way to live, live your life as vivid and bright as you can. Colors like the green of dew-ey petals, and the pink of the sunsets. And the blue of your best friends eyes. COLORS!! Omy goodness please post comments of your top 10 things you love.

The most difficult thing i have ever experienced.

I thought i had it easy, well still I do. But nothing bad happened to me, nothing. My best friend, she’s going through so much, and she is so strong, and i could never fathom what she was going through, i just did not understand how she could still wake up everyday with a smile on her face. But then, my grandmother was diagnosed with breast cancer right before Christmas, and it was really hard on me, it was like some one just hit me with a baseball bat, and knocked the wind out of me. I couldn’t breathe, i couldn’t talk, i just cried my heart into a big knot. Me and my grandmother are super close, and it just broke my heart, the thought of her not being with me forever. So far, i think she’s doing good, she had some lymph nodes taken out, and she is going through chemo therapy, so i think she’s doing pretty good. But I haven’t told my friends about it, about my struggles, and all the junk that is going around in my life. I don’t know why? They have gone through much harder stuff, my friend’s mom just died, and i just don’t want to seem weak i think? Maybe that’s it? But my grandma having cancer, is definitely the worst thing that has ever happened to me, i guess i got off easy? Please share the worst thing that has ever happened to you, on a serious note please? thanks.
